CE and safety in (band) saw machines
As a manufacturer and supplier of band saw machines, we feel it is our duty to inform our customers about common, very dangerous situations that occur with band saw machines. Which is why we give you this special and important information.
What are the requirements?
Saw machines, whether circular saw or band saw, are covered by the most stringent marking class, the so-called machine directive 4. In short, this means that the machine must be CE-certified by an external, competent institution following approval. These institutions are called Notified Bodies (e.g. Stichting Keuringsbureau Hout, KEMA, TNO)
What is not allowed?
Some companies market sawing machines with no more than a compliance statement issued by the manufacturer. This is not allowed!
Often, these machines are very dangerous to use. Working with such machines will expose you to great risks.
Choose for certainty in safety
We have over 10 years of experience with this type of machine. All of the machines we manufacture are CE-certified by a Notified Body. Please refer to the annex for more information.
